Debate Competition on the topic ‘Ganpati Festival Celebration’ in Sadhana Vidyalay, Hadapsar

Shalangan team organized Debate competition in Sadhana Highschool. The aim of this competition was to hone public speaking skills of the students. The students spoke eloquently on the topic “Celebration of Ganesh Festival”. The participants speaking for both ‘for’ and ‘against’ the motion debated enthusiastically. The winners were appreciated by felicitating with medals. Kalyani Bhabad, psychologist and coordinator of Shalangan, guided the students on how to celebrate the festival without harming the environment and other living beings.
Establishment of “Flying Youngsters“ group in Yashwant Vidyalay, Khadakwasla
Under the project Shalangan, students from Yashwant Vidyalay were identified for their discipline, organizational skills, leadership qualities and formed a group called “Flying Youngsters”.
They will undertake social activities beneficial to the community they live in, to set an example of being good citizen of the nation. The students were given batches of ‘Shalangan – Flying Youngsters’ by the dignitaries.
Pankh counselors Shweta Suryavanshi, Sachin Bhapkar and Mrunal Mapuskar organized this program. The dignitaries included Mr. Ajay Shirke (CSR Head – Quick Heal Foundation), Mrs. Smita Apte (Pankh Director), Supervisors of school: Mr. Bandal , Mr. Yevale and Mr. Choure
‘Police Thet Bhet’ Program in Nav Maharashtra Mulanche Vidyalay, Pimpri Waghere
‘Police Thet Bhet’ program organized at Nav Maharashtra Vidyalay, Pimpri Waghere. The program was intended to discuss and communicate to the students about the POCSO Act and consequences of teasing. The counselors of Pankh also highlighted the difference between Love, Friendship and Attraction. The Police Marshals narrated real cases about Love and Friendship, teasing etc. The students asked many doubts which were cleared by the marshals.
The dignitaries included Mr. Ajay Shirke (CSR Head – Quick Heal Foundation), Mrs. Smita Apte (Pankh Director ), Marshall Supriya Parse and Deepak Khunve of Damini Squad.

Cyber Crime Awareness: Police Program in Hutatma Rajguru Vidyalay, Pandavnagar
Cyber Crime Awareness Program through ‘Shalangan’ was organized in Ht.Rajguru Vidyalay. Senior Police Inspector Mr.Dayanand Dhome, Mr. Ajay Shirke (CSR Head – Quick Heal Foundation), Mrs.Smita Apte(Pankh Director), Damini Squad Members and Pankh Counselors were present for the program.
Topics like Cyber crimes, problems faced by teenager on the virtual world and the punishments for the crimes etc were addressed by Dhome Sir.
Library Establishment in Hutatma Rajguru Vidyalay, Pandavnagar
Under ‘Shalangan’ project, library was established for the students of Hutatma Rajguru Vidyalay, by Akshar Bharati Foundation, with the aim to encourage the habit of reading. Hundred books were donated by the foundation for the students. Mr.Kedar Tapikar (Project Coordinator – Akshar Bharati Foundation), Mrs.Patil(Principal – Ht.Rajguru Vidyalay), Pooja Yande(CSR Executive- Quick Heal Foundation), teachers and the students of the school were present for the program.
